Join us May 30th to June 1st in Dundee! The Open Microscopy Environment. OME is a consortium of universities, research labs, industry and developers producing open-source software and format standards for microscopy data. OMERO is client-server software for managing, visualizing and analyzing microscopy images and associated metadata. Your microscopy images are securely stored but shareable and available from anywhere you have internet access.
Because metadata is worth a thousand pictures. We are in the process of getting rid of submodules and separating our code into smaller repositories. Why? And why should developers and users care? The OME development workflow has been following a single, integrated approach for the last couple of years. This means that all components of the OME stack, including OMERO. Are versioned globally and released simultaneously. The only notable exception to this rule is the OME Data Model.
